From the depths of the Arctic to your wrist
Deep beneath the permafrost of Svalbard lies a silent, dark world. For generations, miners have extracted coal here – the “black gold” that powered homes, ships, and entire communities. It was inside Mine 7 in Longyearbyen that the inspiration for Gruvebus was born – our tribute to Norway’s mining history and the people who lived it.
Forged with real Svalbard coal
Gruvebus doesn’t just take inspiration from mining – it carries it within. Coal from Mine 7 is used in the steel-hardening process, increasing the hardness and scratch resistance of the 316L stainless steel. The result: a watch that’s as tough as the heritage it represents.
Designed for the dark
With a combination of Trigalight GTLS and Super-LumiNova, Gruvebus remains readable in total darkness – a nod to the endless polar night.
Every detail tells a story
The caseback features a relief of the Gruvebus statue in Longyearbyen, while the dial texture is inspired by the rugged surfaces of the mines.
For collectors and history lovers
Gruvebus is more than a watch. It’s a piece of Arctic heritage you can wear – built with premium materials, Swiss movement, and a design that captures the spirit of the North.
